About Willie Kitchens Jr.

Willie D. Kitchens, Jr., a native of Chattanooga, Tennessee, embodies a lifelong passion for music deeply rooted in his upbringing. Raised in a household brimming with musical influence, Willie Jr., the only son among six siblings, was immersed in a rich environment that nurtured his musical talents from a young age. Guided by his father, a talented musician himself, Willie and his sisters began performing in local churches across Chattanooga and its surrounding areas at just seven years old.

While pursuing Music Education at UT of Chattanooga, Willie's journey took a different turn, leading him to a prolific career as a writer, arranger, director, and performer. Renowned as one of Chattanooga's most sought-after musicians and singers, Willie Jr. has shared stages with iconic Gospel and R&B artists, leaving an indelible mark on the music scene.

Transitioning from the spotlight, he now dedicates his talents to nurturing the spiritual growth of his community and the youth. Currently serving as the Music Director of the Gospel service at Christ UMC and Pastor at Bethlehem Wiley UMC, Willie's commitment to ministry is unwavering.In a remarkable testament to lifelong learning and perseverance, Willie pursued further education later in life, earning a degree in Business Management from Miller-Motte Technical College at the age of 53.
